Chapman Jones
The Chapman Jones sensitometer consists of a glass plate bearing a series of numbered squares from 1 to 25, whose opacity increases with the number. The first is almost transparent and the last almost opaque. The glass plate also contains other transparent squares tinted red, orange, yellow, green, blue and violet, allowing a rough assessment of the plate's sensitivity to the colour radiations passing through the squares… Summary and translation from: "Recetario de Fotografía" by Rodolfo Namias.
